Shi‘a Will Never Refrain from Speaking the Truth and Resisting to Uphold Justice

Ayatollah Araki stated that the Shi‘a, despite all the oppression, injustice, and various forms of sanctions imposed upon them, will never refrain from expressing the truth and standing firm in resistance to reclaim their rightful cause.

According to the Public Relations Office of Ayatollah Araki’s office, speaking at the Mother’s Day Commemoration Ceremony at Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her) School, he noted that Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her) represents the link between Prophethood and Imamate. He explained that human beings can be categorized into three types: the individual human being, the family or household-based human being (Bayt), and the social human being—highlighting the concept of Bayt within Islamic teachings.

He added that through the bond of marriage and the formation of a household, two individuals practically become a single human unity, a unity that is then continued through their children.

Referring to certain narrations in which the term “min” is used—such as the hadith “Fatimah is a part of me”—Ayatollah Araki clarified that “min” here does not signify mere lineage, but rather explains the concepts of household-based and social human identity, which transcend the notion of an individual human being.

He further stated that expressions such as “peace with those who make peace with you, and war with those who fight you” found in religious texts are additional indications of social human beings united through the محور of Wilayah (divinely guided authority).

Emphasizing that the injustices inflicted upon Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her) are established historical realities, he stressed that the Shi‘a must not neglect addressing, explaining, and clarifying these truths.

He added that although various economic and political sanctions have been imposed upon the Shi‘a throughout history, they have never—and will never—cause the Shi‘a to retreat from declaring the truth or resisting in order to uphold justice.

Ayatollah Araki also noted that it was precisely the steadfastness of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) throughout history that earned them the love and pleasure of God Almighty.

He explained that love for this blessed family means self-effacement in them, allowing believers to join their collective existence, and—by God’s will—to become part of this sacred household.

He further remarked that the deep affection felt toward figures such as the Supreme Leader or Martyr Qassem Soleimani stems from recognizing them as part of the path of truth and as extensions of the social existence of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

In conclusion, Ayatollah Araki emphasized that one of the key responsibilities of Islamic seminaries and religious schools is to expand the collective manifestation of the Imams of Guidance and to transform individual and family-based humans into socially conscious individuals centered around Wilayah.
