Ayatollah Araki emphasized that observing hijab and preventing moral corruption are among the key ways to achieve social justice, noting that moral corruption also paves the way for financial corruption.
Speaking to Basij members and seminary students at the Safa Grand Mosque in Tehran, he cited the holy verse:
"Indeed, Allah intends to remove all impurity from you, O People of the Household, and purify you completely."
He said that the Divine Will has decreed that the household of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his progeny) be a house of light and wisdom.
He continued: “We must reflect and understand that our schools, markets, and society as a whole should embody the Muhammadan, Alawi, and Fatimi spirit.”
Referring to the noble character of Hazrat Abolfazl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), he said: “It was in the nurturing environment of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) that such a devout servant of God was raised—one whose light and energy illuminated the world like no other.”
Ayatollah Araki then analyzed the future of the Islamic society through the words of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her), saying: “The oppressive rule of the Umayyads and Abbasids over the Muslim community was a result of abandoning the divinely guided leadership of the infallibles—a deviation that continues today under tyrants such as Trump.”
He added: “The reason enemies attack clerics and seminaries is because the religious scholars defend the truth. They are not self-centered but care about others’ well-being according to the pure life taught by the infallibles.”
He further noted: “Our insistence on observing hijab is because we seek a pure society founded on the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt, where corrupt figures like Trump and Netanyahu cannot thrive.”
He emphasized that women play an unparalleled and essential role in creating such a pure society, since every human being grows and develops from a mother’s nurturing care.
He also pointed to the importance of the stages of enjoining good and forbidding evil, stressing that preventing moral and financial corruption is one of the key means to achieving social justice. “A morally corrupt society,” he said, “inevitably falls into financial corruption.”
In conclusion, Ayatollah Araki urged seminary students to learn the Muhammadan, Alawi, and Fatimi wisdoms, and to promote them in order to foster moral virtues and nurture divinely inspired individuals within the community.
