Ayatollah Araki described the production of podcasts on jurisprudential topics as one of the current needs of society and emphasized its importance.
According to the Public Relations Office of Ayatollah Araki, His Eminence stated during a meeting with a group of managers and staff of the Feqahat School Information Center in Tehran that paying attention to the subtleties of Qur'anic wording is essential. He noted that reflecting on why a particular expression or word appears in a Qur'anic verse—while another does not—can reveal important points for understanding and interpreting the Qur'an.
He praised the services of the Feqahat School in Tehran and told its staff: “Certainly, you will share in the reward for every benefit that learners gain from your efforts in spreading divine truths and teachings, God willing.”
Ayatollah Araki then highlighted the importance of the principles of jurisprudence (Usul al-Fiqh) and translating them. He added: “Years ago, we compiled Usul al-Fiqh discussions. Since the best texts at that time were in Arabic, we wrote them in Persian so that students could benefit more from them. Today, however, it is necessary to translate these materials into various languages.”
He also pointed to the importance of producing podcasts on jurisprudential topics, adding that the current jurisprudence lessons cover issues such as prayer, almsgiving (zakat), marriage and family, as well as contemporary subjects including the jurisprudence of culture and the jurisprudence of artificial intelligence.
Referring to some of his teachers, including the martyred scholars Ayatollah Beheshti and Ayatollah Motahhari, he stressed that the ideas and methods of these great figures, as well as the approaches of the Najaf and Qom seminaries, should be examined comparatively by students, researchers, and academic centers.
At the end of his remarks, Ayatollah Araki called on students and researchers to conduct comparative studies of different scholars’ lessons within a single topic or discipline, as this leads to deeper understanding and more precise insights.
