Ayatollah Araki, emphasizing the schemes of American and Israeli arrogance aimed at dominating the Latin American region, stated that organizations such as BRICS can play an important role in preventing the realization of these malicious goals.
According to the Public Relations Office of Ayatollah Araki, His Eminence, in a meeting with a group of Brazilian researchers and media figures, recalled the history of the Pahlavi era and Imam Khomeini’s struggle against global arrogance, noting that after the victory of the glorious Islamic Revolution, global arrogance — especially the United States — carried out various hostile acts and conspiracies against the Islamic system, all of which ultimately failed.
He added that for more than forty years Iran has faced economic and political sanctions as well as cultural aggression from the enemy; yet the Islamic Republic has not only overcome these hostile pressures but has also become one of the major regional and global powers.
Ayatollah Araki then referred to the recent 12-day war and Israel’s attack on Iran, carried out with the cooperation of the United States and its partners, and said: The placement of Israel in this region was done with the purpose of domination, and this goal continues to be pursued by global arrogance.
He continued: Global arrogance is also eyeing Latin America and seeks to dominate it, having prepared and pursued various plans to achieve this sinister objective.
Referring to Zionist plans to influence and dominate countries such as Brazil and other South American nations, he stressed that Israel — which does not even possess stable sovereignty — is seeking to interfere in other countries to secure its interests, a matter that is completely unacceptable.
In response to questions from attendees regarding signs of global arrogance’s influence in Latin America, he explained: Arrogant powers inherently cannot tolerate the independence of other nations and exert every effort to exploit the resources of other countries. Nevertheless, today we witness countries like Venezuela in Latin America raising the banner of independence and national interest and rejecting domination.
He stated that intergovernmental organizations such as BRICS, of which Brazil is a member, can stand against the threat of increased hegemonic influence, and fortunately this trend is expanding.
He also emphasized that, by God’s grace, the Islamic Republic of Iran today holds the banner of defending Palestine and resisting the United States and Israel, proudly standing with the oppressed against the oppressors. He added that regional countries, including Saudi Arabia and the UAE, should know that Iran does not consider them enemies, and we hope these countries will not remain indifferent to the conspiracies of global arrogance against Islam and Islamic nations.
